The picture is not that great but you can sense the overall feel of the sculpture now with the sword in the angel’s hands. I still need to finish off the right leg and lengthen the arms but after that it will be time to work on the wings (excluding the base). I’m looking forward to working on the wings and if everything goes as planned I should be able to start on them in the near future.

Gerald,
Not sure if you are still posting on this site or not but I happened upon it via your pumpkin carving page. I’m glad I did. I have enjoyed your work and the premise behind it. Warrior Angels….that says it all! I agree with your take on previous angle art, the strength of God can and should be shown in the creatures He created. I also really liked ‘Gabriel blowing the horn for Armageddon’, a powerful image. Congratulations on rediscovering your gift. I’m gussing, since your last post in March you have completed ‘Battlefront’. If so, i’d like to see the final.
Great work….Keep going.

I collected angel figurines for many years but stopped when I really got dissatisfied with the fluffy little fairy angels. I’ve been looking for good warrior angel figurines. There just aren’t any out there. What are planning to do with your creation when you finish? I would hope you would somehow get them so that others could have copies. If you do email me at tparker@socket.net. I would certainly be interested. I’d like to see a pix of your finished creation, too.
